The waning gibbous is called the disseminating moon, the phase for telling someone what you learned.

The light is going but there's plenty left, and tradition turns that toward teaching, sharing, giving things away. It's the least mystical-sounding phase in the whole cycle and the one whose advice generalises best: if something worked, say so out loud while you still remember why.
