Its deity is the Ashwini Kumaras, the twin physicians of the gods, and its lord is Ketu. It sits at the very start of the sidereal zodiac, on the two faint stars at the head of Aries. Tradition gives it beginnings, medicine and haste, and warns that haste is also its failure mode.
