Folklore #078 Moon in the signs

The tenth mansion is Regulus, the heart of the lion, and its deity is the Pitris — the ancestors. Its symbol is an empty throne.

The throne is empty because you inherit it. Magha's subject is lineage, ceremony and what has been handed down, and its lord is Ketu. Regulus sits almost exactly on the ecliptic, so the Moon runs over it regularly — one of the few first-magnitude stars that can be occulted at all.

Tradition: Vedic astrology; nakshatra 10, sidereal Leo 0°00'–13°20' · checked Sep 2026
