Folklore #082
Moon in the signs
The fourteenth mansion is Spica, and its deity is Vishwakarma, the architect of the gods. Its subject is the made thing that is beautiful because it was made well.
Chitra means 'brilliant' or 'variegated'. Its lord is Mars. Spica is the star the whole sidereal zodiac is effectively pinned to: the standard ayanamsha is defined so that Spica sits at 180°, which makes this mansion the anchor of the entire system rather than just one of twenty-seven.
