Rituals & practice
People who watch Mercury retrograde three times a year often miss the one their own tradition says happens every couple of days: the void-of-course Moon.
The Moon goes void when it will make no more major aspects before changing sign, and the rule is that nothing begun then comes to anything. It can last minutes or most of a day. Practitioners use it as permission to do the admin and not the launch — which, unlike most astrological advice, at least has the virtue of arriving frequently enough to test.
