Folklore #249
Folklore & calendar
Ask anyone who works nights in a hospital and you will get a story. Ask the admissions data and you get a flat line.
It has been checked repeatedly — attendance, trauma, births, surgical complications — and the effect either vanishes or is far too small to notice on a shift. One partial exception worth naming honestly: on a bright night more people are outdoors later, so some kinds of injury really can rise, and the Moon is the reason without being the cause.
