One 360th of a circle; each zodiac sign spans 30 of them.

Chart positions are written in degrees and minutes within a sign: 12°34′ Leo means 12 degrees and 34 minutes past the start of Leo, which is 132.57° of ecliptic longitude. This site truncates rather than rounds, as ephemerides do, so a position never displays as 30°00′.
