North Node

Also called ascending node, Dragon's Head, Caput Draconis, Rahu

Where the Moon's orbit crosses the ecliptic going north.

Many modern astrologers read the North Node's sign and house as a direction of growth; traditional astrologers read it more simply as an increasing, magnifying point.

Where sources differ
Evolutionary astrologers read the nodes as a life-to-life story; traditional and Indian astrologers do not.
