Sun-sign astrology
Also called horoscope columns
Forecasts written for everyone born with the Sun in a given sign, as in newspaper horoscopes.
Popularised from 1930 by R. H. Naylor's newspaper column. It uses one factor of a chart out of dozens, which is why astrologers who draw full charts distinguish it from their own practice.
Sources
Written for Cool Moon Facts in its own words. An astrology source documents what astrologers believe or practise; it does not establish that astrology works.
