Vertex
Also called Antivertex
Where the ecliptic crosses the prime vertical in the west; the Antivertex is its opposite point.
Introduced in the twentieth century, the Vertex is used by some modern astrologers as a point of encounters. It is a calculated intersection, like the Ascendant but with the east–west great circle instead of the horizon. This site does not calculate it.
