Driving on the Moon
Apollo 15 unfolded a battery-powered car and drove 17 miles across the lunar surface.
The rover let the crew reach the front of the Apennine mountains, where they found the Genesis Rock, a piece of the Moon's original crust, over four billion years old. Three rovers are still parked up there.
