Julian Day
Also called Julian date, JD, JD
A continuous count of days used by astronomers, so that dates can be subtracted without calendars.
Julian Day 2451545.0 is noon on 1 January 2000. The site's “show the math” panel gives the Julian Day of a chart so it can be checked against other software.
