Also called Arabic parts, parts
Calculated points made by adding the distance between two chart factors to a third, usually the Ascendant.
Hellenistic astrologers used a handful of lots; medieval Arabic astrologers catalogued dozens, which is why they are also called Arabic parts. Each is a formula, not an observed body.
