Planet (astrological sense)
Also called planets
In astrology, any of the moving bodies read in a chart, traditionally including the Sun and Moon.
The Greek planētēs means “wanderer”: the seven lights that move against the stars. Astrology still counts the Sun and Moon among the “planets”, which astronomy does not, and adds Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The Ascendant, Midheaven and nodes are calculated points, not planets.
