Planetary joy

Also called joys of the planets

The house where each traditional planet was said to “rejoice”: Mercury the first, the Moon the third, Venus the fifth, Mars the sixth, the Sun the ninth, Jupiter the eleventh, Saturn the twelfth.

The scheme comes from Hellenistic astrology and explains some of the traditional meanings of the houses.
