The Battle of Hastings
Harold's army fought at Hastings under a last quarter moon, and had marched 250 miles in under three weeks to get there.
Halley's Comet had appeared that spring and was taken as an omen; it is stitched into the Bayeux Tapestry with a crowd pointing at it. The Julian date is 14 October, which is why the Gregorian conversion matters before you ask an ephemeris anything.
