Hemisphere emphasis
Also called quadrant emphasis, eastern and western hemispheres
Most planets above or below the horizon, or east or west of the meridian.
Modern astrologers read an upper-hemisphere chart as outward-facing and a lower one as private; eastern emphasis as self-directed and western as relational. Such readings depend on the birth time.
