Meridian

The great circle through the north and south points and straight overhead; where things are highest as they cross.

The Midheaven is where the ecliptic crosses the meridian above the horizon, and the Imum Coeli where it crosses below. A planet near the Midheaven in a chart was near its highest point in the sky at birth.
