Hellenistic astrology
The horoscopic astrology of the Greek-speaking Mediterranean, from about the second century BCE to the sixth CE.
It joined Babylonian astral omens with Greek geometry and Egyptian decans. Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos, Dorotheus and Vettius Valens are its main surviving texts. It used Whole Sign houses, sect and lots.
